It's Greek to Me!

Last Sunday I attended my first Greek Festival with music and dancing and good food.  It cost a dollar to get in the door and after that, you purchased each dish separately for your plate.  Total cost for the two of us was only $35- and a great bargain for the amount of food that was piled on our plates.  There were so many dishes to try and here's a few of the ones we did get:  Pastitsio, Moussaka, Chicken on skewers, Lamb, and (I don't remember the name of this one) grape leaves filled with a delicious rice filling and rolled.

For dessert:  Baklava, Galaktoboureko, Kourabiedes, Halvadopites, Koulourakia.

Next month there is another Greek Festival that we'll be attending:  Greek Festival.

Turns out I'm going to have to wait on my dream car.  I'm getting a 2001 VW Cabrio Convertible to get me around town for now.  We're going to pick it up this afternoon. 

We decided to plunk away what we in savings so we're able to get our dream classic car.  I want a muscle car or an old truck and Mike really wants the 56 Bel Air, which I like as well.  The Bel Air above is only 32k, not bad and the condition is sweet.  My dream car is really a 68 Fastback Mustang.  Dream!

First Soccer Game

Angelina and Aiden's first soccer game of the season.  I don't know if Aiden's team kept score but Angelina's team won 5 - 1.

Aunt Yvonne's Table to Be Tiled...Design Ideas

Remember, Aunt Yvonne, the areas where you see wood would or could have your floor tiles cut to fit, such as the two horizontal strips above and the triangle areas below where the tiles are on the diagonal.  When you come over next Saturday, we can play around with them.  Oh, those burnt orange tiles are mine, they weren't in the box you sent home with me.  Also, I have LOTS of boxes of other colors, a pretty mustard yellow, some other blues, a darker red, etc..  See you on the 25th!!  Can't wait to go to the car show with you and Uncle Rich!  I'm glad he wants to go with us!!  ;-D

Another Fun Weekend Camping

Went camping for three nights with our two grandchildren, Angelina and Aiden.  We always have a blast with Angelina and Aiden and this time our friends, Gary and Jan came along with their cute grandson, Joseph and sweetie pie dog, Bella.
