Last Sunday I attended my first Greek Festival with music and dancing and good food.  It cost a dollar to get in the door and after that, you purchased each dish separately for your plate.  Total cost for the two of us was only $35- and a great bargain for the amount of food that was piled on our plates.  There were so many dishes to try and here's a few of the ones we did get:
Pastitsio,
Moussaka, Chicken on skewers, Lamb, and (I don't remember the name of this one) grape leaves filled with a delicious rice filling and rolled.
For dessert:
Baklava,
Galaktoboureko,
Kourabiedes,
Halvadopites,
Koulourakia.
Next month there is another Greek Festival that we'll be attending:
Greek Festival.
Here is a list of Greek Festivals being held all over the country and I highly recommend you take the opportunity to go with your family to a festival close to you:
List of Greek Festivals.
