Stark Contrast - Desert Landscape to Vivid Cottonwoods

Nothing exciting happened today except we stopped every thirty minutes or so to take tree pictures.  Cottonwoods to be exact!  They're putting on a beautiful display of golden yellows and oranges.
Got some interesting desert scenery in Arizona and New Mexico, too.  One is really interesting in black and white, shown below, looks like something from Mars.
