New Mexico, Painted Desert and Petrified Forest

We visited the Rio Grande Nature Center and I captured some Canadian Geese flying in for a landing on the water.

If you're ever in Albuquerque, go to the little Mexican restaurant behind the Church - Lot's of history!
If you're ever passing by Thoreau, N.M. stop in and in and say hello to Jay.
Jay.
The Painted Desert Historic Inn.
The Painted Desert Teepees.
Beautiful petrified colors.
See the large petrified logs?  Those rocks are super huge and the old petrified wood is dwarfed by them.
Lots of trains along the way.
Convoluted rocky cliffs, jutting and jagged and rugged.
