Our Friend, Roger: Original Paintings - Our Friend, Walt: Fine Jewelry

When we left Cobb Mountain on Sunday, we drove up to Gualala to attend an art show.
Pronounce  Gualala: wa La la.  Gualala means where the water flows down.  I spent weekends here and there during the 70's in Gualala, before the town grew to what it is today.  My best friend's parents had a custom house built with a wraparound porch and a view overlooking the town.  Such good memories of days at the beach and the sunbathing at the river.

Back to my story.  Our good friend, Roger Bean, was at the art show along with our friend, Walt Rush.  We bought three paintings from Roger on Sunday.  Now we are lucky enough to own six of his original paintings.  Feeling blessed to know such a talented man.  Turns out, I'm going to be representing Roger on Etsy.  Soon, you'll be able to purchase paintings directly from him.  I'll post the link as soon as I get things set up.  Stay tuned...

The first three paintings, shown above, are the first ones we purchase from Roger awhile back and they are all large paintings.

The next three paintings (shown above) are the ones we bought from him last Sunday.  The tree and the boat are fairly large sized paintings.  The little farm painting is a smaller scale painting.

Here's a taste of what's to come for Roger's Etsy shop.

Last but not least, I want to make mention of our friend, Walt.  Walt was at the art show as well.  Walt Rush is a Mendocino County fine art jeweler and his work is stunning.  If you especially love the beach, you'll love his gorgeous jewelry.  He's a talented gold and silversmith craftsman.  I own a couple of his pieces, a beautiful pave' tooled sand dollar pendant and a pair of his dangling heart earrings.  Honestly, the photos don't do his work justice.  You have to see and hold his jewelry in your hands to appreciate the detail and craftsmanship.

One day I'm going to have to get a pair of those jellyfish earrings.  I'm especially drawn to the dragonfly pendants.
