Too Hot Inland

Today was another hot day
so we changed plans and drove to the coast to paint where it'd be a lot cooler.  We ended up meeting a fellow plein air painter and friend, Sterling Hoffman.  Please check out his work by clicking on the link.

It was too windy and cold down by the water so we walked around and found a little group of vacation homes up the road a bit that was more sheltered.  Moved and parked the truck and set up our easels and got to painting.

For whatever reason, the painting wasn't working out for me and I ended up wiping it out, starting over and still am not happy with it.  I might try working on it in the studio tomorrow.  Or in a few days...

However Sterling was having a good day and managed to capture it.

Even Mike painted.
