Mare Island Paint Out

Today we went to the historic Mare Island Naval Shipyard
to paint with our plein air group.  As far as we know, Susan was the only other one that came besides us, and our son, Seth, who joined our group today.  This was Seth's first time painting plein air and he did a great job of it.

When we first arrived we just drove around for about 1/2 hour checking things out to see where the three of us wanted to paint.  We decided to paint the famous morning glories covering the old building.

 Red headed finch.

Meanwhile, not far away from us, on the other side of Mare Island, Susan is painting away at a view across the water.
