Burney Falls Camping Trip

Last Friday we took off for five nights of camping
up at McArthur-Burney Falls State Park.  It was a relaxing time and we even got in a full day of plein air painting.  I have five new paintings that need just a little touching up.

One late morning, Andy, Mike's buddy, went on a bike ride and we picked him up and then had lunch in Fall River Mills.

This is Burney Falls, which is quite spectacular.  Read here on Wikipedia.  Pretty fascinating stuff, huh?  That's a lot of water flow even during drought.

One day Mike and I drove up to Shasta and did a little painting.  Below photos: we are at Castle Lake, just above Lake Siskiyou.

Here are a few pictures from a day of painting we did in Fall River Valley.
