Glen Cove Marina, No, GV Cellars Winery

Today we were going to meet at Glen Cove Marina.

The weather was iffy, rain, no rain, rain, hail, no rain.  The group met up at the marina but it wasn't very interesting to paint. The marina was closed. We ended up going to Glen Cove Waterfront Park, which was nice, but cold.

In the end, we drove back to Fairfield to paint at our favorite location, GV Cellars. They have shelter, restrooms and the skies were clear above us with stormy clouds surrounding the landscape. After setting up our easels, we all ended up under the small arbor.

Mike didn't paint but took photos and sat in the nice warm truck while it rained. I ran upstairs and bought a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon to share.

The perfect location for a paint out. We got rain, hail and clear sunny skies and still managed to do some painting.

After an hour or so, we each called it quits and to finish these in the studio.

I ended up moving my easel a bit to get the sunlight off it which was disturbing my perspective.
