A Sad Day

This morning
I woke up and checked on the robins and everything looked fine.  A few minutes later, this.  A fall to it's death.  It broke my heart to see this.

A few days ago I was on the phone talking to my dad about the birds and he suggested that I put something down to catch them if they fall.  I'm sorry that I didn't do it soon enough.

Two babies left.

Feeding time.  Mom sat on the arched gate for about 8 minutes before she flew over to the babes.  This video cracks me up.  Mom gives this ball like thing (a berry?) and sticks it in and out of the mouth of the one on the left and then pops it into the other's mouth to eat the whole thing.  Watch the look on the one that only got a few dips.  It appears to be looking at mom wondering why it got cheated.
